Join the Quantum chemistry research group for a period of 6-12 months starting at the next possible time.

As a working student you will help our team by developing quantum chemical workflows for BASF supercomputers.

You will program in Python using open-source scientific modules e.g., Fireworks, Pymatgen, Custodian etc.

You will use high-performance computers and also MongoDB databases for the development purpose.

Furthermore, you will work in close collaboration with an international and interdisciplinary team of Scientists in a R&D environment.


studying physics, chemistry, scientific computing, computational material science, computational chemistry, informatics or related technical field

working knowledge with high performance computers is preferred

good knowledge in Python with object oriented programming as well as in databases

ideally project experience through previous internships or working student activities

team spirit and willingness to achieve success together

very good communication skills in English, good German skills are desireable
