As the cryptocurrency media platform with the most extensive reach in the industry, our community of millions is one of our biggest strengths.
We’re looking for someone to engage with that creative, inspired, tech-savvy, financially-literate, fiercely independent, always curious community. Someone who understands crypto and the blockchain space deeply, and who appreciates that an audience as diverse as ours cannot be met with a one-size-fits-all approach.
This video producer role will help oversee our new Crypto animation series.
Roles and Responsibilities
Conceptualize, write, edit, and finalize scripts for our animated series on cryptocurrency
Organize and visually string together concepts and communicate these with the video editor
Provide research and background to video editors and team members as needed
Know the ins and outs of YouTube, including title creation and social media video
Know the ins and outs of Videoscribe or similar video programs
Select highlights for the video editor to compile into short, punchy social media targeted videos
Provide comments and direction for the video editor to follow during the editing process
Review videos to weed out mistakes and uphold a high standard of quality
Coordinate the creation of social media video clips that promote the show
Review scripts from other shows, flesh them out with content direction, and give detailed feedback to editors/producers
Required Qualifications / Skills
3-4 years in the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry, either professionally or as a hobby
Possess a strong knowledgeable on Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technology
Able to think and write visually about complex crypto and blockchain concepts
Exhibit a keen eye for humor and current events inside of crypto
2-4 years of experience producing videos for the web, particularly YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.
An excellent sense of pacing, a knowledge for the best ways to grab viewers, and a sense for how to tell a powerful story in as little time as possible
An eye for motion graphics and design
Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in an energetic and fast-paced environment
Experience in educational media, communications, and/or interactive media production
Extremely detail-oriented, organized, thorough, and willing to refine work to a high degree of polish
Exhibit excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal
Able to work within technical limitations and find creative and technical solutions to issues that arise
Must be able to manage multiple projects with varying scope simultaneously, and while under intense deadlines
Able to work in a high volume environment
Good communication skills are essential, as is a mature, professional collaborative attitude
Ability to learn new software development environments and systems quickly and adapt to new methods of production
Knowledge of creative workflow: assigning tasks, setting milestones, apprising client, keeping projects on target
