Labs provides a unique opportunity to work with financial services data in a global company whilst in a team with the culture of a start-up.

We investigate the application of new technology to LSEG products and services. Right now, Labs is working on AI, Big Data and Blockchain – performing graph-based risk analysis, turning text into risk signals, using ML to predict bond prices and creating real-time data simulations. We are involved in a large range of projects leveraging a multitude of different technologies, so a successful candidate is unlikely to be assigned to a single product or service. As part of our growing Labs team of data scientists, engineers and UX/UI designers, you will also get to work with like-minded colleagues from our sister lab in Singapore. Role Summary & Responsibilities

Working with business strategy, data scientists, software engineers, interface designers and domain specialists you will help to define and build entirely new products and services. LSEG Labs work begins with an ideation and discovery phase, which as a UX Designer you will be comfortable in using your skills to help guide the team towards more concrete opportunities.

Working closely with a Senior UX Designer, your primary responsibility will be the creation, iteration and presentation of workflows, wireframes, interface designs and prototypes. These outputs will be informed by the customer research carried out in conjunction with strategy, data science and engineering colleagues. This will provide for you to develop your research skills e.g. collecting and analysing analytics, running workshops, developing research goals, scripts etc. You will work hand-in-hand with your colleagues to follow projects to their logical conclusion.

You will need to be able to:

  • Develop workflows, wireframes, prototypes and sometimes visual designs
  • Write well e.g. you can put convincing copy on your wireframes
  • Conduct thorough and well-documented desk research
