The candidate will have a proven record of software and services sales and be comfortable working at all levels in an organisation . The AI portfolio is used by thousands of customers around the world and has clear and easy to understand customer ROI . The succesful candidates need to be able to quicky understand the customer business problems and aritulate the IBM value in the customers terminology

Your Role and Responsibilities

Are you a Sales professional who wants to join the IBM UKI AI Applications team. IBM AI applications deliver essential enterprise applications that are powered by AI and built on open, hybrid cloud platforms. These offerings allow our customer to empower intelligent workflows and experiences that securely run anywhere and integrate everywhere

Should you be successful, you will be given a defined customer set within the UKI. This territory will include a mix of existing customers and white space accounts.

Do you have some vertical domain knowledge, sectors like Retail, CPG and financial which are key hunting grounds for this portfolio? You will not make your target by selling to existing users, you will need to find and develop new relationships and new Logo’s.

You will need to have a strong sales background and be able to understand vertical market business and legislative issues and translate these into IBM solutions. Many of these solutions could contain offerings from other IBM solutions outside your control, teamwork is key to your success.

If you have sold solutions that have addressed any of the following, that would be advantageous;

  • Sustainability –
  • Enterprise asset management
  • Supply Chain management

In your team role, you will be to work with collegues and Partners to identify and to expand the software footprint in these accounts. Many of these offering require working with the IBM Ecosystem; including IBM Consulting, Global SI’s and Boutique partners.

Your renumeration is based on a basic hitting a quota, this quota is a mix of “On premise software”, SaaS solution and deployment services. For the right candidate, significantly overachieving your OTE is a very realistic.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Passion and knowledge in vertical areas, for example retail, Financial, CPG

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Associations with specific industry bodies.
