Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for highly experienced individuals who can establish a trusting relationship with our clients. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) Expert, you will develop a consistent long-term partnership with our clients to maximize their ROI in IBM products. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the Hybrid Cloud Expert Labs organization where you develop critical-thinking skills and work with Subject Matter Experts to resolve complex problems for our worldwide clients. In addition, you will help drive delivery to leading-edge technology in the Journey to Cloud, Openshift, Cloud Paks, Monitoring, Event Management, Service Management and Application Resource Management.

The Technical Account Manager has core responsibility in the following areas for Expertise Connect customers:

Provide a single focal point to customers and field personnel for helping the client:

Avoid problems (Preventive)

Avoid reoccurrence of problems after one has occurred (Proactive)

Lead coordination of current problems, reduce the impact (mitigation), expedite resolution, provide root cause and delivery of lessons learned (again, proactive)

Provide Proactive Reports, based on client needs/desires

Responsible for ensuring that all contract deliverables are provided

Where appropriate, act as lead, Project Manager or lead TAM across all business units

Role Focus

Practice Delivery Excellence in ClouPak for Business Automation (BPM, BAW, Filenet)

  • Ensure worldwide project governance standards
  • Act as technical resource and point of escalation for team members;
  • Mentor advisors working with clients in the field;
  • Engage in identifying and resolving complex problems relating to installation, update, configuration, operations or performance;
  • Share knowledge via articles, blogs and remote trainings;

Tools & Processes

  • Developing standards and processes to ensure consistency and uniformity across the portfolio.
  • Ensure the use of those standards and processes consistently across similar use-cases
  • Share architectural best practices and aids to successfully design and implement use-cases


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a technical background. Experiences with software development and technical support are essential; knowledge of Business Automation products (BPM, BAW or Filenet) is a must;

To be successful, you will also need to have:

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, be able to set priorities and be excellent in client handling. Client focus, enthusiasm and drive are essential
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, SQL Language, Red Hat Linux, Windows Server and Docker (or any container engine)
  • Strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of customer needs to be transformed into application and operational requirements.
  • knowledge of Core Banking components and processes
  • Knowledge of Cloud solutions and ability to discuss options as they pertain to relevant software solutions
  • Quick to learn, self motivated and proactive

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • IBM BPM/BAW, JavaScript, Red Hat Openshift, IBM Cloud Pak for Automation, Linux, AIX, WebSphere, Jython, Relational database knowledge.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Other languages preferred
  • Comfortable communicating on technical topics but also able to communicate with client management and executives providing regular status info
