The successful candidate will join Deloitte as a key member of the Cloud & Engineering team. The Opportunity
  • Work as part of the Technical Support team, responsible for supporting all aspects of our clients Architectural components. This includes;
    • Relational Databases (Ingres, Vectorwise, MySql, Oracle)
    • NoSQL Databases (HBase, Kafka)
    • Bespoke architectural components (RJS2/RJS3)
  • Manage and resolve live issues across various Systems
  • Monitor and implement Continual Service Improvement initiatives as required.
  • Work with other members of the Technical Support team to enhance and develop their scripting/automation capabilities.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure that support for all systems are transitioned over to the Technical Architecture Support team.
About you:
  • Experience as a team lead in a relevant ICT role required
  • Tech skills required, Java, UNIX, SQL, Relational Databases (Ingres/VectorWise)
  • Ability to manage and work with large teams.
  • Learning ability, including integrating information and the ability to judge and to evaluate.
  • The capacity to connect, including working together or teamwork, presentations skills, networking skills and empathy.
  • The capacity to structure, including planning, organising and simplifying information to explain complex technical issues to non-technical people.
  • Sound grasp of the fundamentals of taxation, from registration through to returns filing and payment options.
  • Knowledge/experience of project delivery methodologies, application development lifecycle, waterfall development model, agile development model and hybrid development model.
  • Experience interfacing with application development and technical colleagues, testers and all levels of management.
  • Requirements / Business Analysis skills to allow effective communication with the business and ensure smooth translation from business requirement to technical requirement.
  • Technical solution design skills to allow the analyst to determine the optimum solution using the correct blend of technologies to meet a set of defined requirements.
  • Ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality and compliance with project standards.
  • Understanding of systems architecture and databases
  • Training opportunities (access to premium online training platforms, in-house training, internal & external technical training, certification/exam support)
