The company is an undisclosed trading firm specializing in cryptocurrency trading. As a well-founded start-up, they have established themselves as a key player in the growing crypto market. As the first System Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of the trading operations. You will work closely with traders and developers to design, develop, and maintain the trading infrastructure. Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth deployment and operation of Linux and Cloud-based applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, implementing timely and effective resolutions.
Collaborate with developers and traders to drive continuous improvement, automate processes, and optimize trading performance.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for software enhancements and upgrades.

Requirements: System Engineer – Crypto Trading

Proven experience as a System Engineer (Your title might have been DevOps, SRE, or AE) for mission-critical production systems. Experience in trading is a nice-to-have but not a must.
Strong proficiency in Linux-based environments, knowledge of public cloud technology (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex and time-sensitive trading scenarios.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.

Benefits: System Engineer – Crypto Trading

A base salary of 100-120K

Hybrid working options, the office is based in Amsterdam.
