We are looking for an experienced Settlement and Operations Specialist, with a background in Cryptocurrency Settlements. You´ll be primarily responsible for highlighting operational risks and introducing appropriate controls, sharing knowledge in the Cryptocurrency processing space and secondarily in settlements, processing fiat and crypto transactions, and improving operational processes.
What is the Global Trade Services team responsible for?
As an Operations Specialist, you will work within a local team of 5 and a wider team of 12, both teams are responsible for the maintenance, validation, reconciliation and preparation of daily transaction and position reporting following Cryptocurrency transactions performed by the front office. This includes life cycle events processed by the exchange. Also attached to this team, are further OTC Derivatives responsibilities relating to trade completion, confirmation, reconciliation, life cycle events monitoring and processing, processing payments and wire instructions.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Specialist – Global Trade Services?
Primarily:

Maintain working relationships across teams
-
Research potential operational gaps and implement controls
-
Support client integrations and front office relationship management
-
Share knowledge in Cryptocurrency processing
Secondarily:
-
Process fiat and crypto settlements
-
Facilitate treasury operations, crypto, and cash management functions
-
Daily reconciliations between the exchange and book of records
-
Transaction and position building, maintenance, validation and reporting downstream
-
Daily communications with the exchange and front office Stakeholders to resolve any spotted discrepancies / queries

Support client integrations and front office relationship management
-
Research and resolve financial and technical issues
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
-
Bachelor’s degree on relevant subject or equivalent experience
-
Working experience in payments, settlements, trading, and/or a finance operations role
-
Self-starter who can work accurately in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
-
Knowledge of the digital assets markets and infrastructure
-
Experience with SQL queries and databases or Alteryx and Xceptor is a plus
-
Advanced skills in Excel is essential
-
Ambitious with a positive demeanor
-
Excellent communication skills.

Inquisitive and innovative; helping the team to drive improvements through efficiency.

Driven to learn and develop technical knowledge.

Experience working within cryptocurrency, brokerage exchange, fintech or financial services or comparable company environment is desirable.
