Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and managing a team of data engineers and other data analytics professionals (data scientists, visualization developers, data quaility and MDM) in a fast-paced, Agile Scrum environment. The role involves working closely with Cognizant and our clients’ cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize and implement data-driven solutions to support both our company and our clients’ strategic goals and objectives.

• Lead and manage a team of data analytics professionals in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize and implement data-driven solutions that support the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Act as the Scrum Master for one or more data analytics teams, ensuring that teams are following Agile Scrum principles and practices.
• Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize data analytics requirements, and ensure that they are aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Ensure that the team is following best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data analytics, and make recommendations for how they can be leveraged to support the company’s goals.
• Communicate progress and results to stakeholders and leadership.
• Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and advance their careers.

You will become an active member of the AIA team that works closely with other disciplines/roles and that shares experience in Digital Transformation projects in a dynamic environment with multiple roles, using last technologies according to development/test standards and corporate architecture policies.

Essential Skills:

• Extensive experience in business intelligence and data analytics, with a strong (and demonstrable) leadership role during the recent years.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum principles and practices
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence, data visualization, and AI&ML tools
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices

Nice to Have Skills.

• Technical experience with Azure data analytics services: Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage
• Technical experience with Power BI
• Technical experience of Informatica MDM.
• Experienced in managing AI and Machine Learning based projects.

Qualifications:

• Professional Scrum Master (recommended)
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, engineering, statistics, or mathematics
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1 or equivalent proficiency required)
