Playmint is a group of experienced game professionals in the vanguard of blockchain games, releasing games with gameplay mechanics and technical solutions that have never been tried before. Ideas like interoperability, composability and asymmetric game design offer new challenges and opportunities to game studios and making games is at its most interesting when you’re trying new things, right?

Based in Brighton, UK, we are venture-funded and answer only to ourselves. We believe in trying things out quickly and not being afraid to tackle things that no one has done before. We’re about as far down the rabbit hole as it goes; come and join us.


Overview

Playmint is looking for a programmer, with experience in any field of technology, that is interested in applying their existing skills and learning new ones to make blockchain games. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency their professional career with transferable software engineering skills.

The Playmint programming team combines experience in games, web and blockchain development with a motivation to work on cutting edge blockchain technology to deliver a new kind of game. The successful candidate will be excited by the challenge of working with new technology and thrive in an environment of equally experienced and motivated programmers..


Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and iterate on technology to support the game where needed.
  • Work closely with design and art to understand the problems and come up with collaborative solutions.
  • Contribute to the collaborative, creative process across the whole team.


Requirements

  • High level proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Comfortable picking up new languages as part of the job.
  • Self motivated and a team player.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of at least one area of software engineering with a broad understanding of many.
  • Ability to manage self guided learning in order to support tasks.
