Senior Golang Engineer (Go), Very Early Stage Crypto Company
100% Fully Remote, now and forever
This is your opportunity to join a very early stage, ‘stealth mode’ start-up building a greenfield cryptocurrency exchange and digital banking platform.
Having worked with 100’s of early stage ventures over the years, this one truly sticks out… for all the right reasons! This is a start-up with all the ingredients to succeed.
Funded by a billionaire passionate about decentralisation, blockchain and cryptocurrency, the team consists of proven players in this sector focusing on a relatively untapped area of the market.
Whilst we’re unable to disclose too much at this stage I can assure you, if you have an interest in this space, after the 1st call with the CTO I’m confident you’ll be very, very interested.
As a Senior Software Engineer you’ll work closely alongside the CTO as part of a small, specialised engineering team. We’re looking for someone who is able to contribute to platform design, system architecture, technical roadmaps, defining best practices and picking the right technologies. You’ll be making a direct impact here.
The tech stack is mainly Golang, which is the only hard requirement for this role. You’ll need a strong engineering mindset and deep understanding of object-orientated programming. It would also be beneficial to understand design and architectural patterns and have experience using at least one cloud technology (AWS ideally).
You’ll have the opportunity to work on a cloud-native platform with Docker, Kubernetes, micro-services, event driven architecture, CI/CD and a heterogenous stack of Python, Kotlin and of course, Golang.
Understanding of core software development concepts and approaches outweigh specific programming languages or tool expertise. Whilst it would be great that you have used the above technologies, it is not a requirement to know them all, just Golang.
Having worked these types of positions for 6+ years, I am confident it’s the type of environment and culture most technologists look for. Scaling company, product-driven, latest technologies, like-minded technologists, collaborative approach, inclusive and diverse team, considerable training/learning opportunities, flexible hours, remote working, extensive benefits, the list goes on…
To confirm, this is also a remote-first company, meaning full remote working, now and forever.
