The financial services industry is currently undergoing a period of unparalleled change. Since the financial crisis, banks and financial institutions have been subjected to more stringent regulations, increased supervision, and overall global economic instability. These changes have not come without a cost and has made these institutions re-evaluate the way they have been doing business traditionally. Moreover, the proliferation of technological advances including disruptive technologies and digital are compounding the pressures of maintaining competitiveness, being adaptable and increasing profit margins.
EY is now investing in a new UK financial services Digital Assets technology consulting team focused on delivering key Digital Assets initiatives, build valuable relationships, and develop strong capabilities through both formal training and working with senior mentors and talented colleagues.
This is akin to a start-up with EY and we are seeking high calibre and experienced DLT Tech architects and engineers to join this growing team.

Your key responsibilities
- Work with the Management team to define the go to market Digital Assets consultancy service and be part of the go to market team to sell these services to our clients.
- Lead the implementation of Digital Assets for our clients by engaging with senior stakeholders and help them safely adopt Digital Assets and DLT.
- Provide Input into internal projects that are building Emerging Tech assets in terms of architecture and engineering best practises and where necessary to demonstrate best practices through implementation.
- The role is expected to provide solution architecture expertise in Digital Assets to EY consulting for solving client business problems to help their business imperatives
- You’ll engage on Assets/DLT engagements with client executives across UK financial services, and roll-up your sleeves and help client in solving business problems by leveraging DLT and Digital Assets to solve client business problems
Skills and attributes for success
- Proficient in explaining Emerging Tech to financial services clients including non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work with Senior stakeholders, collaborating to find solutions to complex technical situations
- Identifying opportunities for and securing new business, including leading proposals and bid teams
- A capability to direct a delivery team on all aspects of DLT and Digital Assets and to engage with client stakeholders to oversee implementation progress
- Applying DLT and Digital Assets tools and techniques for solving client business problems.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Worked in DLT-public and private, smart contracts design/implementation/consulting and deploying technology at scale.
- Extensive experience with blockchain technology is required.
- Provide subject matter expertise to design, develop, assess and implement complex architecture solutions (integrated process, applications, data and technology) for business problems in alignment with the assigned applications Solution Architecture direction and standard
- Good understanding of Blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, consensus algorithms , Microservices, and Light-Weight Architecture.
- Hands on experience in Blockchain frameworks (Hyperledger Fabric, R3 Corda, Ethereum, Quorum).
- Good understanding of using cryptography and its application in different blockchain solutions.
- Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Java or NodeJS
- Familiar with one of the following cloud-based services: GCP, AWS or Azure
- Use DevOps practises such as CI,CD, Agile, Scrum, XP and Domain Driven Design
- Personally motivated; results-oriented; and makes things happen.
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
- Contribute to EY’s internal knowledge base on best practices in this full technology area.
- Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead
- Keen sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize problems, analyse and resolve issues.
- Manage the team members by ensuring that the tasks are completed on time

- Able to Architect and QA solutions as well as monitor and manage team delivery in a fast-paced client environment
- As a Senior Consultant, it is expected that the candidate will have extensive experience in gathering requirements for solving a business process improvement use case and translate that into solution and delivery components for implementation.
- Candidate needs to have experience in managing and owning business cases in partnership with client stakeholders from ideation to delivery, stabilization and value realization phase
- It will be expected that the candidate has proven experience in establishing one-self as a trusted advisor to senior stake holders in the client organization
- The candidate will also be required to establish one-self as a true domain practitioner within EY in the space of DLT, Digital Assets and Smart Contract Solutions such that they are called upon for supporting the sales process to showcase the best of EY in the industry
