Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Security specialist you understand strategic priorities, business requirements, technical requirements, issues identification, issue remediation and are called on to develop and articulate robust and innovative security solutions to address these. You will present, review and modify the solution with key stakeholders to validate alignment with compliance/business needs and technical feasibility. As a Security specialist you provide subject matter expertise in creating enterprise security Cloud solutions that meet the client requirements and that are compliant with all security, regulatory and governmental requirements.

As a Security specialist, you are a subject matter expert for security and regulatory compliance. This is a critical role in the overall success of a project and you are the primary source of IBM Cloud security solution design and development. You will work in conjunction with the larger team to deliver a winning solution that prioritizes the remediation of security gaps and follows secure engineering principles within the platform, informed by external regulatory guidance and objectives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Proven experience for a minimum of 7 – 10 years of deep technical expertise in software security, cloud security and architecture.

Experience working across teams to identify security requirements and translate requirements into technical architecture designs.

Proficiency with compliance frameworks: SOC2, GDPR, EBA, NIST controls, etc.

Experience with Cloud security methodologies and tools including

o Secure by design principles

o Secure by design principles

o Knowledge of F5 BigIP, Cloudflare and other security platforms

Knowledge of Juniper, Vyatta, Paolo Alto, Fortigate, Checkpoint

Hands on experience in Software Defined Networks such as VMware, OpenShift, Juniper, Cisco

Experience around integration and implementation of ID and Access Management solutions on Cloud

Knowledge of Cloud Logging and Monitoring methods and tools and how they can be implemented in a hybrid multicloud environment

Implementation of security principles on one or more Public Clouds (e.g AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud)

Solid understanding on encryption standards and methodologies

o SIEM solutions such as QRadar and Splunk

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

CCSP ( Certified Cloud security professional) certification, CCSK, Cloud certifications such as as AWS Certified Solution Architect, IBM Certified Solution Architect, Azure Certified Solution Expert, Cloud Google Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification, Red Hat Certified Architect, The Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
