We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager at Keyrock (Remote or Brussels based) who will be concerned with verifying the output of product development teams towards validating that the outcomes intended and described by Product Managers are being met by solutions deployed to a production environment. These outcomes could be technologically granular in detail, such as changes to connectivity services connecting to trading venues, or larger in abstraction, such as the ability to change trading strategies in a specific way, using a specific validation model, by a specific user.

A QA Manager works to ensure a squad’s (cross functional product development team’s) success in delivering their mission, by helping to validate these product outcomes towards higher level Objectives set by the organisation, either for a user, a client, or for the organisation itself. They contribute to QA process iteration, automation of QA testing and processes, staffing of QA teams, and management of QA team members towards continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit QA team members with relevant capabilities as required by the product development teams

• Manage the funding testing activities and technology including the funds required to validate correct system behavior against trading venues.

• Develop an understanding for themselves and the team, around the objectives of the business and of each squad so these can be used as context for testing activity.

• Work with Product Managers & Data Intelligence team members around iterating the monitoring of services, with a view towards being proactive about validating correct behavior of the product platform.

• Lead activity and iterate product test capabilities include planning, designing, preparing, and executing product & service testing.

• Analyze issues and identify risks found during testing, and either work with the squad or other stakeholders to address them.

• Collaborate with product and engineering team members distributed across various geographical locations.

• Implement and enhance QA methodologies to ensure delivery of consistent, correct, high-quality, and highly performant, product releases.

• Guide the design and development of testing strategies, towards enhancing and automating test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrable experience as a QA Lead, or QA with substantive experience.

• Experience with both manual and automated testing contexts.

• Desire to learn new technologies and develop/refine skills.

• Strong technical skills (*nix systems, databases, API testing via request/response protocols, distributed system/microservice contract testing).

• Strong analytical skill and pragmatic approach to problem solving.

• Experience working with PMs in pre production as well as post-launch validation.

• Great attention to process and content detail, and a results driven approach.

• Excellent communication skills, and experience with team and functional (area) leadership.

Good to have

• Academic qualification in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Blockchain industry experience.

• Trading industry experience or experience in a relevant financial context.

• API testing via streaming protocols, including grpc and/or FIX (any version).

• Mathematical or financial experience or demonstrable interest, especially around statistical analysis of both data content and service performance.
