Introduction
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to manage efforts of IBM resources and client employees as well as third-party vendors to ensure that an integrated solution is provided to meet the client needs.

In this role, the Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects. The Project Manager works independently but keeps leadership promptly apprised of work status, raising issues of risk to the appropriate level and at the appropriate time; works effectively and efficiently with minimal oversight; advises and provides guidance to other professionals; seeks guidance on key issues as appropriate; and has a solid level of expertise in project management.

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role your primary responsibilities are (not limited to):

  • Provide project management discipline and a framework to Cloud and Cognitive Software (C&CS) Expert Labs project teams
  • Provide technical direction and control to coordinate and manage the activities of Expert Labs project personnel
  • Create Project Management deliverables
  • Maintain project communications with the client
  • Create regular status reports
  • Conduct regular status meetings with clients and project stakeholders
  • Provide monthly financial forecasts to Delivery Leaders
  • Keep management cadence with the Delivery Leaders to provide insight on project status
  • Develop knowledge of C&CS Expert Labs offerings with awareness on emerging technologies and solutions
  • Administer the contract change control procedure with the client
  • Provide and/or supports the regular status reporting to and with internal key stakeholders against goals, objectives & milestones. Management support wrt budget (revenue/cost), claim, and capital
  • Adheres to Project Management standards and supports/assists Project managers, Market leaders, Contract Managers and Client delivery managers in ensuring that our BU’s financial targets are met as a team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • University Degree (preferably in Economic, Science or Technical discipline)
  • 7+ years of experience working in a consultative services organization
  • Customer interface experience in consulting and professional services
  • Proven Project Management experience (PMP, Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or other certifications)
  • Oversees business controls, security and compliance to achieve audit ready posture in the area of contracting (SOW’s, ERO’s, ICA’s, etc)
  • Identifies any issues and problems that need immediate focus and resolution in the area of planning, resourcing and financials
  • Leverage key resources across IBM to resolve issues quickly

– English – fluent (wrriten and verbal)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Customer interface experience in consulting and professional services
  • Proven track record and more than 7 years experience in a Project management role implementing Enterprise Solutions
  • Proficiency in either French or Dutch language will be a plus
