Teesside University is a dynamic and innovative institution, founded on more than 85 years of teaching and learning and currently serving a population of over 18,000 students. At Teesside University we believe that innovation powers our steps to create a world where everyone benefits from progress. We aim to transform lives and economies by delivering outstanding teaching, research, and business engagement.
Building upon the University’s many achievements over recent years, ‘Ambition Delivered Today’, our new Corporate Strategy, sets out a dynamic future for the institution as a central hub of activity and aspiration in the Tees Valley, inspiring our students, colleagues and communities across the world.
In 2022 we launched the Centre for Digital Trade and Innovation (C4DTI), which is a global initiative led by The International Chamber of Commerce UK (ICC UK) and based at Teesside University. The centre is industry-led and government-supported, working with the ICC Digital Standards Initiative, governments, business groups, companies and international partners. The goal of C4DTI is to provide an impartial environment for industry and government to collaborate on practical pilot work to accelerate the pace and scale of digitalization, ensure consistency in the application of standards, rules and laws, and increase the adoption of digital trading processes in the future.
The centre aims to create a digital trading system that is cheaper, faster and simpler for all companies, and to improve the existing trade processes by providing transparent, accountable and sustainable supply chains. This makes the Tees Valley region the ‘go-to’ place for International Digital Trade R&D.
