Product Design and Operational Engineer – Multi-Modal Transportation (m/f/d)
Main tasks: Owning product functionality on BLESS (Base-Line Eco System Service) in the areas of Multi-Modal Transportation (Ocean, Air and Road shipment, incl. warehousing) Work with DHL
Main tasks:
- Owning product functionality on BLESS (Base-Line Eco System Service) in the areas of Multi-Modal Transportation (Ocean, Air and Road shipment, incl. warehousing)
- Work with DHL’s Business Units, DHL’s customers and partners to define a commonly beneficial solutions and roadmap
- Actively engaging with Business Process experts, Architects from Business Units and functional and operational experts of DHl’s customer
- Contribution to the identification and (further) development of IT architecture solutions and business processes with regard to the Group-wide Blockchain platform BLESS in cooperation with the respective business units, customers and stakeholders
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses and preparing and planning scalable IT solutions for the BLESS platform in coordination with the responsible platform architects and IT partners
- Contribution to the conception of a test and certification strategy for the group-wide Blockchain platform
- Contribution to the management of platform functionalities and service management processes in the respective business areas
Responsibility:
- Working with DHL’s Business Units and Customers (e.g. Henkel, DELL, Colgate) to develop and maintain solutions in Multi-Modal transportation, which optimizes in the Blockchain platform BLESS
- Work with partners to achieve a common goal to introduce BLESS interoperability where partners have similar services
- Carrying out analyses within the framework of the expected business benefits of the platform and developing appropriate IT solutions
- Independent contribution to the implementation of releases of the Multi-Modal product in the BLESS platform for continuous development and increase of customer satisfaction
- Contribution to the control of platform functionalities and group-internal service management processes
Customers:
- Frequent contact at specialist and department head level within the group-wide IT functions
- Cooperation with and coordination of external service providers, e.g. technology partners
- Observance of service and quality standards in our own area of responsibility
Stakeholders:
- Relationship management with specialist departments, e.g. the group-wide Blockchain function teams
- Maintaining contacts with external parties (e.g. IT providers, benchmarking and research companies)
- Identification of process improvements in the product, Custer and Blockchain area
- Application of Best Practices to optimize processes, systems and methods in the field of IT
Employee leadership:
- Training of junior staff
- Leading small specialist teams and delegation of tasks
- Collaboration and coordination function in projects
Skills/Qualifications:
- University degree focusing on business administration, logistics management or comparable qualification
- At least four years of work experience
- Experience in business analysis, requirements capture and final specification design
- Knowledge and experience in the conception, development and implementation of (IT) solutions and processes, ideally with a reference to Blockchain technology, Hyper Ledger, Corda, Quorum
- Experience with common and agile project management methods
- Knowledge of current Internet standards and Internet architectures
- Very good knowledge of IT management tools such as Jira, Asana or Trello
- English skills, level C1, as well as German skills, level B2 or willingness to acquire
