Value Sourcing: Address the complete external spend to generate high bottom-line impact while sustainably transform the operating model.

Supply Chain: Develop innovative and impactful solutions to increase the performance and results of our clients’ supply chain processes and networks. The focus is on innovative, digital solutions like Digital supply chain, Blockchain, agile network design, digital S&OP processes, end-to-end supply chain transparency, intelligent distribution logistics, advanced Supply Chain forecasting and Industry 4.0.

Manufacturing and Process Operations: Help our clients meet the challenges of their environment and turn their operations into a decisive competitive advantage.

Digital Operations: Apply various advanced analytics methods and machine learning models to drive our clients’ operation to the next level of performance.

We are looking for high potential candidates with proven track records to join our Operations Practice based in Paris, France.

You will be assigned to a client project under the supervision of a Manager or Senior Manager to conduct several activities requiring strong analytical & problem-solving capabilities. The assignments will cover one of the Operations topics: Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Services Optimization.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Understand the problem and define an approach to address and solve the issues

  • Conduct thorough analysis and run diagnostics to find the causes of under-performance

  • Provide hypothesis and build recommendations to enhance performance

  • Lead various project activities, analysis, workshops and prepare deliverables under the supervision of your management

  • Contribute to proposals writing and point of views

  • Display basic project management skills for workstream activities

  • Interact with our clients in an international environment and develop your consulting skills

  • Identify additional areas in which Operations can add value to the client and contribute to its development

  • Develop strong knowledge and expertise in at least one of the Operations domains (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Services Optimization)

  • Promote Operations topics within the Oliver Wyman community

Frequent travels might be requested according to the assignments.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Just as every client project is different, so we recognize and value the diversity of backgrounds and skillsets for successful candidates. We are seeking high-caliber individuals who want to join our winning team. Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Graduate from a top tier Business or Engineering school

  • A first experience in at least one of the Operations sub-domains (relevant internship(s) or work experience in Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Services Optimization)

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to build analytics

  • Curious and creative mindset

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings

  • Dynamic candidate with a strong will in learning quickly and discovering our way of working at Oliver Wyman

  • Share our values: team spirit, pragmatism, commitment, proactivity and result oriented

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel,…)

  • Experience on using data mining and data visualization tool is an asset (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, … )

  • Fluent in French and English, and additional language(s) would be much appreciated (German, Spanish, …)
