Job purpose:
As Metaverse leader, you will help shape Pernod Ricard’s strategy for Web3 & metaverse -including Nfts- as well as partner with brand and market companies on their roadmap.
The lead brings EXPERTISE and VISION
  • Has foundational knowledge of underlying technologies and experience developing new business opportunities
  • Operates as the Control Tower: key point of contact for project teams, identifying issues and provide solutions
  • Make sure to stay current on trends/tech and build the right capabilities.
  • Advocate and lead the metaverse/Nft agenda. Advise Brands on their strategies.
Main roles and responsibilities:
Serving PR affiliates and teams (brands, markets, KDP) on their innovation journey:
  • Support a portfolio of short-term projects and long-term transformation initiatives across PR related to metaverse, 3D assets and Web3, at all stages, from ideation to execution.
  • When needed, initiate, and manage the project until a dedicated team is identified.
  • Coordinate and lead central HQ capabilities (legal, tax, treasury, IT) related to wallets and crypto asset management.
  • Responsible for keeping the organization agile and lean between brands, markets and Hq, and responsible for the metaverse RACI implementation and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, especially within marketing (brands and markets), digital transformation, e-commerce and IT to integrate initiatives as needed.
  • Identity and escalate issues when they are discovered with a solution mindset.
  • Monitor project performance, aggregate, and share out results.
Advising our brands on all things Metaverse. From identifying key risks and considerations to identifying and measuring the business value. Act as a trusted advisor for brands’ C-Suite:
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and workshops to guide the strategic direction of projects
  • Develop strategic insights through research and analysis of the Web3, and metaverse space.
  • Shape strategic priorities into actionable recommendations, setting KPIs and success metrics for each.
Partnering: identify and build relationships with differentiating external partners and/or solutions to bring to PR teams.
Upskilling: develop PR’s Metaverse practice and market position by creating content and taking part in professional forums, both internal and external:
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and monitor developments across tech, regulatory and industry sectors, and share out to key stakeholders within the organization
  • Develop the use of the metaverse many building blocks: Blockchain, Extended Reality, Digital Identity, Hardware (AR/VR Goggles & Lenses), Software (Gaming Platforms & Virtual Worlds), etc.
  • Team management: No
  • Key internal stakeholders: Convivialité Ventures, BrandCos, MarketCos, HQ functions
  • Key external stakeholders: Startups, Tech companies, Universities, Consortium
  • Availability to travel: TBC
Profile required:
  • Education required: Master’s in engineering, business, design, or other relevant fields
  • Experience / Background:
    • 6-8 years’ experience in business management in CPG or retail or e-commerce
    • Hands-on experience with Web3/crypto technologies, AR and VR
    • Strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
    • Ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
    • Strategic, analytical thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges the team to aim for higher ground
    • Ability to build relationships and a strong network
    • High degree of autonomy
    • Experience of Start-up interaction is a plus
    • Language required: English, French is a plus
