How you will add value to our team?

You will use your technical and professional skills to advise clients on controlled operations and transformations in the field of risk management. Our clients are primarily business lines and risk management and compliance functions of insurers and pensions funds in EMEA. You will:

  • Advise clients on governance and risk management solutions

  • Assess risk management frameworks against regulatory requirements and good market practices and advise clients on potential improvements

  • Help clients drive value with risk management by generating better and faster insights which enable better decision making

  • Lead and coach colleagues by striving for high quality deliverables and personal growth

  • Contribute to business development in your area of expertise and broader subjects such as data & analytics, cost efficiency and strategy of the organisation to become ‘fit for future’

What does your work look like?

The assignments that you will execute are complex and challenging. With your mindset you will provide creative solutions that help our clients to move forward. The assignment will be executed in close cooperation with colleagues from other fields within PwC (like Finance, Actuarial, Technology, Operations and Strategy) and with our international PwC Risk & Regulation network.

As part of your role you will also contribute to business development in your area of expertise. You will have the chance to develop and apply new techniques in the field of risk management, including machine learning, robotics, Artificial Intelligence and blockchain. This enables you a continuous development of your skills in order to grow professionally.

Who are you?

We are looking for colleagues with the ambition to grow in the field of Risk & Regulation, who have:

  • A master’s degree or PhD, preferably in a technical (e.g. mathematics, computer science), financial-economic and/or legal direction, or another relevant master’s degree

  • a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in the financial sector (preferably insurer or pension administrator) or with a consultancy firm in the area of Risk & Regulation

  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements around risk & control and its impact on insurance and pension firms

  • Interest in technological developments to digitalize risk and compliance functions

  • Experience in analysing and solving problems in an environment where technology plays a decisive role

  • Proven experience with leading (project) teams

  • Excellent communication skills, in English and Dutch

  • An entrepreneurial, proactive mindset and the drive to make a difference in a challenging environment

  • Consulting, teamplay and social skills, and enjoy building strong relationships with clients
