We’re looking for (Junior) Blockchain & Virtual Assets Expert – Emerging Solutions Switzerland to:

  • lead and support blockchain and virtual assets initiatives as an internal consultant in the Emerging Solutions team
  • develop, implement, and manage new solutions across all business areas by leveraging blockchain technology
  • partner and build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across business and technology
  • raise awareness of the latest blockchain and virtual assets trends and assess opportunities for using new technologies to solve complex challenges that deliver substantial value
  • actively drive the development and expansion of blockchain solutions to align with business needs.

Your team

You will be working in the Blockchain and Emerging Assets team within the Group Internal Consulting. We are a passionate and diverse team of consulting professionals with focus on blockchain and virtual assets, as well as other emerging technologies.

Group Internal Consulting (GIC) is UBS’s internal consultant unit. We are a passionate, driven and diverse team with over 750 people present in 5 regions across the globe. As part of the firm’s Group Transformation Office (GTO), we work in close partnership with all divisions and functions to drive transformation and change across UBS, supporting the firm in achieving its strategic goals. Our focus is on delivering high quality services, with fast onboarding, leveraging institutional knowledge. Your expertise

  • minimum of 1-2 years of experience in delivering digital transformation, distributed ledger or tokenization projects in a leading consultancy firm
  • strong analytical background and attention to detail with a solid technical foundation of blockchain and virtual assets (ideally backed by a relevant academic degree and/or professional qualification)
  • working knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: blockchain and distributed ledger technology strategy, product and platform design, virtual assets and tokenization, digital exchange integration, consortia design and implementation, CBDC design and implementation
  • preferably experience in one or more of the following development platforms/coding languages: Quorum, Hyperledger, Corda, Solidity, JAVA
  • exceptional academic track record with an advanced degree
  • highly driven and motivated with a can-do attitude and eager to learn and to solve complex problems
  • a strong team player and communicator, able to adapt and network across a global organization to work well with the team and to present well to stakeholders
  • working experience and understanding of core areas of Financial Services
  • experience in agile development practices and methodologies (such as Scrum, Kanban)
  • excellent written and spoken English skills, other languages a plus.
