Our Software Engineering group is looking for a Software developer to get involved in a project working on the creation of a Marketplace Catalogue that facilitates the registration and discovery of resource, service and product offers by exposing endpoints for querying available offers and supporting both simple and smart selection methods. These offers will be done over a DLT.

The candidate will work in an already existing team, together with an international partnership. All the stages of software development lifecycle will be covered: requirement/functional analysis, architecture, planning, development, testing, validation and documentation.

Where will you do it?

At i2CAT we already have an established ‘work-from-home’ policy for some time. You can work from home or from the office, whichever suits you best. We expect that you attend the office two days per week: one to stay connected with your team and another one to engage with other colleagues

If you decide to come to the office, we are located in Zona Universitària, next to the Campus Nord of the UPC, within a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. It is a very well-connected area (metro, tram, bus) with bars and restaurants around.

Our offices are designed with an open-office concept where everything is light and transparency. We have a variety of workspaces so that you don’t have to be at the same table all day.

Minimum requeriments:

  • Fluent in programming languages (in particular Java and Python), minimum 5 years
  • Solid understanding of Docker tooling (including Docker Compose and Docker registries)
  • Experience designing/coding microservices (container-based)
  • Basic understanding of DLTs/Blockchain principles and operation
  • Experience with VCS, git and gitflow
  • Team working
  • Spoken and written English

Desired requeriments:

  • Experience with DLTs/Blockchain frameworks (e.g. Corda)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Github Actions or similar)
  • Basic experience with COEs (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Experience in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with Javascript/Typescript.
  • Experience with Node.js.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Clean Code.
  • Basic experience with Kafka.
