IT Systems Engineer (London)

Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.

This person will be in charge of defining and implementing processes and procedures for IT management at Mysten Labs. Managing devices, access control and enterprise networks using several resources, tools, and best practices. They will work directly with the Security and Engineering teams to determine proper ways to protect Mysten’s assets.

This role is for an active person who is able to coordinate with other teams and people across the company to improve our current practices. To succeed the candidate will need to be hands-on, have an eye to detail, focusing on enhancing and strengthening our security controls and best practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage IT and Security tools.

• Implement security policies for assets.

• Manage access control for business applications.

• Administer, plan, configure, and deploy new tools, features, and functions for all IT SaaS – Google, Okta, Zoom, Slack, etc.

• Partner with Security and Engineering to improve systems security posture and establish IAM as the source of identity for all access roles

• Automate user access to systems and groups using an orchestration platform (e.g. Okta Workflows, Zapier, Workato, Tray.io, or Bettercloud )

• Assist in establishing new procedures, policies, and documentation for all devices and software used

• Maintain and create in-depth documentation of IT projects and system configurations

• Participate in supporting our end users with general IT support (Slack, Email, Notion) to the global team as needed

Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:

• 4+ years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator/Engineer

• Experience scaling a high growth start-up

• Excellent understanding and experience administering/automating identity management platforms – Okta and Google

• A track record for documenting all things and communicating clearly and effectively

• Experience (and a passion for) scripting and programming (using Python, bash, PowerShell, or similar)

• Passion for providing world class end user centric IT solutions

• Ability to embrace ambiguity and manage competing priorities
