Our business is to support our clients in their journey to become data-driven by building data platforms and intelligent applications. IBM CIC Benelux is recruiting for an Intern Stakeholder Research, Branding and Communication in Groningen, the Netherlands.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Intern for an internal research project with the vision and ambition to shape future success, you will participate in all aspects of interviewing teams and individuals who are involved with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science projects. You will be responsible for analysing what the common characteristics and the pain points in communicating the value of using AI. You will use your knowledge and findings to create a communication framework which will enable us to create more awareness around Artificial Intelligence.

Part of the assignment will focus on creating a communication strategy to bring Artificial Intelligence closer to stakeholders. You will get a better understanding of AI, and you will be able to identify possible areas for the application of AI and making the use of AI more tangible to various groups.

Another part of the internship will focus on Branding and Communication Strategy. You will explore how a concise communication strategy around Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable practices can increase stakeholder engagement.

This assignment will focus on creating a communication strategy to translate global strategies around CSR activities and sustainable practices into a local approach. You will analyse if there are any intercultural aspects and accommodate them so that your recommendations could be applied to IBM CIC offices around Europe.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in an MA Communications degree or similar
  • Affinity with stakeholder management and creating communication strategies
  • Can-do attitude to problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A keen interest and basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Interested in knowing how technology can be applied to solve business problems of clients and the willingness to implement these solutions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
