Responsibilities: *

  • Providing 3rd line support for global user base
  • Mentoring members of the service desk team to help resolve issues and improve their technical knowledge and skillset
  • Completing escalated tickets from the service desk team
  • Maintaining and upgrading a varied infrastructure
  • Involvement in existing and new projects
  • Hands on changes in our in-house datacentre
  • Manage and configure server, provide ad hoc support
  • Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
  • Collaborate across the IT department to ensure smooth and reliable operation of applications and systems supporting business objectives and processes.
  • Work with team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Design and deploy new IT solutions and enhancements to existing hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • All duties requested by Infrastructure lead and CISOCIO
  • Technical support ensuring infrastructure services remain performant and reliable, working with other technical teams to ensure post-exit solutions succeed within project cost and time deadlines,
  • Identifying key configuration information (as well as highlighting any adjustments)
  • Producing documentation to support projects pre- and post-migration where relevant

Strong technical knowledge with hands-on experience of the below is essential:

  • Windows Server 2003 – 2019
  • Directory Services including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • SQL – General Administration, Basic Scripting
  • Exchange 2010 – 2016 Administration and Troubleshooting
  • VMware – vCenter, ESXi Administration
  • Hyper-V Administration
  • Office 365
  • Azure Cloud Services
  • Windows Server VDI deployment and maintenance
  • VMware & vSphere
  • Enterprise Hardware, Servers, SAN’s, Network Switches
  • Active Directory infrastructure (ADDS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy Management, domain trust, ADFS 2.0, ADMT, etc.)
  • Scripting – (PowerShell, JSON)
  • Exchange Online administration
  • Microsoft SQL Server (Desirable)
  • Hardware Support to include, Desktops, Laptop, Mobiles


  • Windows 10 Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Computing/IT or a related field
  • ITIL Awareness or Certification Type of Experience Required
  • Hands-on experience of supporting IT infrastructure 10yrs plus
  • Experience of providing level 2 and 3 support to end users
  • Solid background in IT support (at least 8 years in a support-based role)
  • Strong Microsoft based skillset
  • Ability to ‘juggle’ support and projects at the same time
  • Basic networking knowledge

  • Previous 3rd line support

  • Web Gateway
  • VMware Horizon View
  • Basic PowerShell Knowledge
  • Understands Fundamentals of VLANs
  • Switch configuration
  • SharePoint administration and configuration
