What You’ll Do
We are looking for an Industry Advisor (pre-sales) professional to join our Nordic Insurance team, working with a small number of key accounts to drive change and support our customers as they face the next generation of opportunities and challenges. This position can be located in any Nordic country.
To you who are currently working with, or have a strong interest in, business or product development in the Insurance P&C Industry, either employed at an Insurer or as a consultant. You have a genuine interest in how the use of Advanced Analytics and AI can drive the transformation the Insurance industry is undergoing.

We’re looking for a new member to our team to work as an Industry Advisor for our largest Insurance customers in the Nordics. You will establish and build broad relationships with key stakeholders, become their trusted advisor for Innovation, drive strategic business development initiatives and bring the necessary domain and SAS expertise to the benefits of our clients.

Your tasks will be to
  • Drive business development within Insurance in the Nordics
  • Align closely with the Account Executives to develop SAS’ strategic direction for the client relationship
  • Own and manage business initiatives based on set client strategy
  • Spearhead the process of assessing and translating client business needs to value-generating solutions based on SAS products and services
  • Orchestrate diverse teams of specialists to ensure sales activities (presentations, demos, workshops, RFPs, PoCs) are planned and executed with high quality and client value focus

And you will achieve that by
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders at the client to build and enhance relationships
  • Partnering with sales teams to develop and manage an overall Account Plan for strategic development of a client, as well as Opportunity Plans for specific sales cases
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Industry Trends as well as key competitors
  • Challenging status quo at clients regarding their current use of analytics
  • Communicating and presenting SAS capabilities and solutions to clients, including roadmaps and strategic direction
  • Working with SAS Professional Services and partners to coordinate pre-sales efforts with paid consulting
  • Promoting use of SAS technology, solutions and resources (consulting, technical support, training, conferences) to ensure optimal use and customer satisfaction
  • Creating and applying a strategy for using Social Media to profile yourself and SAS

What would be great to see in your cv
  • Solid experience in business development, strategy and execution
  • Experience from Insurance industry within business – and/or product development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and at least one Nordic language
  • Experience from applying analytics and/or consultative approaches to realize business value
  • Experience from successfully leading heterogenous teams (manager experience not needed)
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in insurance such as Solvency and GDPR
  • Evidence of a solid ambition to continuously learn and apply new knowledge
  • Evidence of personal energy, taking ownership of driving actions to results
