J.P. Morgan (JPM) is looking for a Vice President (VP) or Executive Director (ED) from the Healthcare Industry to join our EMEA Payments Development Team to specialise in the Healthcare sector. Payments / Treasury knowledge is a requirement of the role but the primary requirement is the Healthcare knowledge and connections.
The Payments Business Development Manager (PBD) will have responsibility for the growing the Payments business for the Healthcare segment. You will collaborate and partner closely with the Banking and Product leaders to integrate and develop comprehensive strategies to grow our revenue, including proactive client pursuits, collaborate with internal partners, and develop compelling payments solutions to meet the strategic needs of our Healthcare clients.
Job Responsibilities
The PBD VP / ED role will be based Frankfurt with European wide travel and is planned to be a team lead role for PBDs in EMEA region. The person will be responsible for growing the Healthcare Payments business by not just covering clients in Germany, Switzerland, Austria region but will also help further growth in the broad region
Achieve new business goals primarily by identifying prospects and new sales opportunities and execute sales strategy in conjunction with other line of business’ (LOB) including, Global Corporate Bank and, Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Credit, Legal and other areas to optimize product and service delivery in order to win and implement new opportunities to maximize JPMorgan Payments profitability with clients through pricing of new business wins, product extensions, and cross-selling other JPM products.
Clearly understand client needs by applying a consultative selling approach to cultivate strategy and develop appropriate product solution recommendations and Implement and support ongoing client strategy and coordinate cross-sell opportunities with other parts of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) in order to leverage expert cross-functional business knowledge, financial acumen, strong internal relationships, and exceptional leadership skills to make significant and impactful decisions to include providing compelling financial and market analysis to support financial proposals for new business.
Represent the “voice of the client” for the segments and manage revenue vulnerability and client loss through a deep understanding of the client’s needs and identification of product and service delivery gaps to incorporate an understanding of the business including financial performance benchmarks, key challenges, and opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
Up to 50% travel required to include participation in external industry events to ensure market visibility for the JPM franchise with identified market segment.
A strategic thinker who supports the goals and direction of JPM Payments and the firm who can demonstrate best in class communication skills, including influencing, negotiation and collaboration
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Able to demonstrate extensive level of experience & knowledge in a sales role focused on providing payments services to large, complex healthcare clients with a deep knowledge of payments ecosystem, products, and services.
Able to demonstrate leadership skills in developing and building collaborative partnerships Cross-LOB with key stakeholders to achieve firm-wide objectives, including utilizing data, financial and market analysis and information to drive business results, compelling recommendations and inform effective decision making:
Able to demonstrate effective use of sales metrics and reporting tools to analyze cause and effect, and effectively manage sales force and relationship managers
Able to demonstrate effective executive presence and experience speaking in public forums
BA/BS degree is required, MBA preferred or equivalent experience
