As part of this effort, we’re looking for an experienced VP/Head of Content to manage and scale our content department.

This role will involve working across multiple clients, including DeFi protocols, NFT projects, DAOs and blockchain projects. You will be responsible for understanding our client’s businesses, and educating them on the importance of community growth hacking with them to develop content strategies to attract new users, which will be delivered by your team.

The Head of Content will be responsible for leading the delivery of these content strategies, reporting on their effectiveness and continually iterating and testing with new forms of content. They will also be responsible for ensuring all content is delivered to the high standards our clients expect.

This role is a leadership position for someone with 2+ years of content experience in crypto/tech and at least 5+ years working across content or related fields. The right candidate will be comfortable speaking to clients about developing content marketing campaigns for technical and financially savvy audiences. The candidate will also have experience leading and building a team, sourcing and managing freelancers, and working closely with different agency teams, from social media to creative / design and community.

Responsibilities will include:

Set Hype up for success by creating effective ways of working and winning content strategies by:

  • Understanding the needs and goals of your clients (or consult them on defining their needs and goals) based on your understanding of their project, growth stage, and aspirations

  • Creating content strategies that will deliver on the needs of clients

  • Managing multiple content calendars to allow for effective planning and delivery of content strategies

  • Partnering with the client and the Hype creative department to determine what creative support is needed to achieve our goals and lead on the delivery of this with the client strategy team

  • Use your insight and experience to ensure the creative team create the most suitable and effective creative that will empower us to achieve our goals

  • Establish clear, measurable, and attainable KPIs from the outset, to be reported weekly, monthly, or as needed

Continually optimize, provide counsel and deliver results to clients by:

  • Manage, execute and optimize content calendars, executing across Twitter and other social channels for numerous clients at once

  • Regularly provide performance reviews, insights, and recommendations (whether on weekly status calls, presentations or via written reports) to both the client and Hype teams so we can continually improve our social media output and performance

  • Be our clients’ eyes and ears on content, spotting emerging themes or narratives that might affect our client’s businesses (whether good or bad) and communicate these both internally and with clients

  • Be available for questions or calls with clients on a daily basis so we continually deliver excellent service to our clients

  • Have the confidence to push back on clients should you feel their content or tactics would not be conducive to the successful delivery of our strategies (and therefore the attainment of our goals).

Identify and create growth opportunities by:

  • Staying up to date on web3 / crypto market, social media, and wider economic trends that might impact our client’s businesses, and communicating these proactively

  • Continually be on the look-out for new content ideas, strategies, and tactics that could help take our work to the next level

  • Working proactively with the client and all hype departments to continually seek out improvements, optimizations and fresh thinking to improve our output and performance


  • 3+ years experience in crypto content marketing, ideally leading a content marketing team

  • 6+ years of experience in content, social media, or related fields

  • Experience managing a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills

  • A bias towards action and proactivity

  • Experience developing and managing content strategies across multiple client accounts

  • A deep understanding of content trends in the crypto space

  • A good understanding of social media channels

  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools

  • Strong understanding of SEO and how to optimise content for search

  • High energy
