We are an early-stage start-up, based in London, with a solid product-market fit, impressive growth rates and a user base spread across the US, Europe and Australia.

At Koinly, we are building tools to enable the widespread adoption of cryptocurrency by automating the regulatory hurdles of tax compliance and asset tracking. Founded in 2018, Koinly is today used by thousands of cryptocurrency investors, accountants and blockchain businesses and is also the preferred tax partner for a number of leading cryptocurrency exchanges.


The Role

We are looking for a Head of Business Development who can define, develop and deliver the business development and sales strategy in line with business objectives. You will be an important part of a tight-knit remote team that thrives on a hands-on approach and is passionate about taking the business to the next level.


Responsibilities

  • Further develop the sales strategy – for the entire business across the cryptocurrency and accounting industries in line with the overall business strategy

  • Handling Key Relationships – you will nurture the highest level of relationships with Governments, Tier 1 exchanges and accountancy firms

  • Scaling our business development team — You’ll be based in London but over time will be responsible for hiring and developing teams in other markets

  • Growing our client base — You will develop and execute a strategy to win new clients and grow existing ones

  • Developing new offerings – you will propose and bring to market new offerings to bolster on to add value to our client base.

  • Identify new channels for growth – working with the Marketing team you will propose new channels to deliver sales growth.

  • Developing sales content — You will work alongside others to plan and develop a set of tools to help generate and convert inbound and outbound inquiries.

  • Product marketing — You will work with the team to build our product marketing capability to support the sales team

  • Input to the product — You will think about how the product offering can develop and how this is relayed to Product Team to ensure we’re building solutions to solve real problems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a Head/Director of BD role ideally within fintech, cryptocurrency but at a minimum within B2B SaaS.

  • Experience of scaling a business development department and global sales teams.

  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and execute a GTM in a fast paced environment.

  • Able to work with senior leadership team and develop objectives, implement new operational processes and drive teams to deliver results.

  • Highly organised, confident presenter with exceptional pitching skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to engage proactively with business partners
