Description

Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry – a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.

Data and Digital Platform team is responsible for several innovative streams promoted in Generali to accelerate innovation and digital transformation. Specifically, the team is responsible for driving a Group program that is aimed at accelerating Smart Automation adoption and at enhancing business benefits, driving Group convergence of methodologies and technologies. Moreover the team is responsible for Data Governance policy and Data Strategy evolution, including implications on architecture, data model and business impact of proper data management. The Group Head of Data and Digital Platforms (GHDDP) is a senior manager who personally contributes to the definition of the strategic use of platform resources in the digital transformations projects the company is implementing. Moreover she/he drives a team of experts in creating assets that can accelerate Group journey in adopting modern Data and Digital platforms, such as Smart Automation, Data management, Advanced Analytics & AI, Blockchain, Quantum computing.

GHDDP is responsible for the success of “Smart Automation “digital enabler, part of the Generali Digital Strategy, key responsabilities of the job will be:

  • Lead Smart Automation Center of Excellence
  • Coordinate efforts and manage dedicated budget to create, industrialize and deliver Group Assets
  • Drive strategic selection of Smart Automation opportunities, identifying common approaches within the Group
  • Actively collaborate with BUs Smart Automation experts in analyzing and setting priorities
  • Influence C-level decisions
  • Communicates effectively ambition, targets, initiatives to executives and experts
  • Guarantees Group governance that clearly includes standard approaches, methodologies, technologies, competencies and metrics for the results measurements

The main tasks of the job will be:

  • Collaborate with business processes owners and experts in understanding and assessing business processes using industry and Generali methodologies. Identify opportunities for Smart Automation, evaluating business impact and benefits (with business case) and technological feasibility by leveraging the combination of different technologies (e.g. RPA, iOCR, Chatbot, AI/ML, NLP). Identify proper success criteria and metrics to assess business gain, operational and technical effectiveness of Smart Automation solution
  • Lead development decisions for Smart Automation implementation, understanding business implications and driving internal and external technical resources
  • Design Smart Automation solutions, considering business and IT constraints and managing the impact on the existing IT infrastructure and applications
  • Document and communicate to different project stakeholders, highlighting both business as well as technical key concepts
  • Identify and contribute to Group best practices development and reuse
  • Drives conversation towards risk and compliance implications of adopting Smart Automation solution

Moreover the job holder is able to manage vendor relationship, leveraging Group contract framework, to drive complex international contract negotiations and drive consultancy projects. The resource is able to understand and manage regulatory requirements and to drive the strategic decisions and the related actions in compliance with internal and regulators rules. In this area manages the regulatory implications of Data Governance and data related needs; is interested in technology trends and industry trends to be leveraged in Generali digital transformation, in tight coordination with other teams responsible for other digital enablers as well as with other Group functions in charge of business transformation and with the Generali service company GOSP.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Must have

  • Master degree
  • Proficiency on digital technologies and trends in the process management and process automation
  • Knowledge of Main Automation technologies (RPA, AI/ML, Process Mining, iOCR, iBPM, etc)
  • Proficiency in Business Transformation projects, program management, process improvements, Business Process & IT Outsourcing (BPO / ITO)
  • Knowledge of economics, finance, accounting, procurement, HR processes
  • Interest and passion for innovation and disruptive technologies
  • Advanced English
