Economy Designer

Flowstate Games is a Web3 game studio from Helsinki, Finland – backed by some of the top investors in both the gaming and blockchain space.

We’re now looking for an experienced Economy Designer to become a core part of the team as we work on our mission of reimagining the Arcade experience on Web3 – for anyone.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include…

• Create economic systems for a new Web3 project from ground up

• Ensure all systems support the project vision and provide an engaging and fun player experience

• Balance and optimize game monetization

• Collaborate with feature designer to integrate economic systems into the game

• Build simulations for game mechanic additions and iterations

• Identify new opportunities by analyzing the market and gathering feedback

• Cooperate in maintaining the GDD

REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for someone who has…

• Previous experience from designing game systems and/or economies

• Understanding of sustainable economy design

• Excellent ability to break down and present complex models in digestible formats

• Proactive communicator and ability to work in cross functional teams

• Ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions

• A strong interest in Web3

• Solid understanding of game analytics

• Great spreadsheet skills

• Work experience on a live product operated as a service

• Ability to turn analyses into actionable recommendations.

NICE TO HAVE We think you’d do great in this role if you also have…

• Experience in Web3/blockchain technologies

• Familiar with tokenomics and DAOs

• Interest in scripting languages (e.g. Python)

• SQL skillls

• Understanding of player motivation and a passion for video games
