Vinter is seeking an exceptional individual who will be joining the Vinter team and taking on the role of a data analyst. The objective is to offer new and unique investment opportunities via state-of-the-art cryptocurrency indexes and further the global adoption of decentralized finance.

Role

You will be working in a team of analysts, developers, and data engineers to develop and deliver cryptocurrency indexes. At Vinter, you won’t be a small cog in a big machine, instead, you will work in a small team and have a critical impact on the company.

You will be involved in creating new indexes, based on your own research or client requests. The creation process requires thorough analysis and collaboration with the engineering team and the CEO. We recommend that you go thru an existing index methodology to get a better understanding of what we do. For methodologies please see https://vinter.co/portfolio and https://methodology.vinter.co/

You will write reports where you present your findings using graphs and tables.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in the cryptocurrency markets and hands-on experience in buying and selling cryptocurrencies.
  • BSc. with at least one year of coursework in econometrics, statistics, or mathematics.
  • 2+ years of work experience in quantitative analysis.
  • You must have experience working with time series analysis in python, probably in pandas and NumPy.
  • You must be able to communicate your findings in plain writing.

Tools and tech stack

We embrace new technology. You are free to play around with new tools, and we think you will use some of the following tools to get your job done:

  • Pandas for data wrangling
  • Plotly, Matplotlib, Seaborn for plotting
  • Python, Jupyter notebooks for sharing code results
  • Github for version control
  • Metabase and SQL for extracting data
  • Markdown and HTML for communicating results

We offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • Autonomy – be your own boss.
  • Impact – your effort will be noticed and drive the company forward.
  • Tool agnostic – use your favorite tools to get the job done
  • Flexible working hours and flexible vacation. Vinter is a remote-first company – we don’t care where you live or when you work so long as you exceed our high expectations.

Interview process

The interview process consists of video meetings where we discuss current Vinter methogologies, how they are being implemented and how they can be approved. We will also discuss what type of indexes that Vinter could, and should, develop in the future. We strive to make the interview process similar to how it would be to work at Vinter.
