St Mary’s Private Wealth is a leading financial services institution based in London, providing comprehensive financial solutions to customers. A position is available for a highly motivated Research Analyst/Associate to join our expert cryptocurrency research team on a 1 month fixed term position.

Project aim:

The aim of this project is to understand the correlation between cryptocurrency price changes and market depth changes under market fluctuations. You will be working directly alongside the CIO and using your strong research and modelling background to help analyse historical trends. Through the extraction and research of historical data of the global crypto market, we aim to establish the relationship between price changes and market depth, and eventually fit relevant curves.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports and present the story of the data to the Research team in an easily accessible manner.
  • Lead the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of data using statistical techniques to develop actionable insights.
  • Foster a strong attention to detail when analysing the market trends and patterns.
  • Proactively stay informed about market trends with a passion for the cryptocurrency industry.

Contract Length: 1 month (ideally September 2022)

Salary: Starting from £3,000, negotiable based on past experience

To apply, you will need to have:

  • Preferably a PhD degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, or an MSc in Computer Science or a related field;
  • Proven knowledge and track record in one or more of the following areas: Blockchain ecosystem, Smart Contracts, Cryptocurrency, and/or DeFi.
  • Strong analytical and research experience within blockchain and crypto assets.
  • Knowledge of current crypto valuation methodologies I.E NVT, P/E(S), Equation of Exchange etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a good publication record in relevant conferences or journals.
  • Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines, and to work with minimal supervision.
