Global Corporate Communications Director at
As continues to scale its cloud-based payments platform around the world, we’re looking for a communications professional to build and lead our efforts to bring our corporate story to life through earned and owned media.

Reporting to the VP of global communications and public affairs, the UK-based director of corporate communications will work with a broad range of executive, marketing, strategy, finance, legal and other stakeholders to own, drive and grow’s earned image and reputation.

You’ll build and manage a team that works with our senior storytellers and agency teams to convey our point of view and impact on the industry at large – whether that’s payments processing, the evolution of cryptocurrencies, how our merchants are innovating in payments, developments in the policy and regulatory environments, or our global expansion. And as part of this work, you’ll build and maintain close relationships with reporters and influencers, and support the media relations work in our offices around the world.

What you’ll be doing

  • Strategy: lead the expansion of’s multi-channel corporate communications strategy to ensure that our business, growth and value story is told effectively in key markets around the world.
  • Thought-leadership: support the internal and executive communications team in the development of messaging and content for earned media and on-stage opportunities with our senior leadership team (including leading media training, writing opinion pieces, and tailoring Q&A).
  • Media relations: in partnership with the rest of the communications team and our agency partners, strengthen and maintain relationships with key reporters and influencers at priority outlets.
  • Customer storytelling: create a high-performing customer storytelling program in collaboration with the broader marketing team to deliver results through earned media
  • Infrastructure: create and optimize the org blueprint for the future growth in communications, including FTE, contractor and agency resources. Then grow, manage and mentor the team.
  • Issues management and crisis communications: own the development of our strategy for issues management and crisis communications, working cross-functionally to plan for and mitigate the impact of potential issues.
  • Global Alignment: ensure consistency of corporate communications across external and internal channels, partnering with the comms team and internal stakeholders across geographies and divisions.

About you:

  • Approximately 12+ years of experience in corporate communications and team management, preferably a combination of in-house and agency in FinTech and/or hyper-growth tech startups.
  • Demonstrated mastery of content-generation, writing and editing abilities, as well as core message development and reputation management.
  • You have solid experience working with C-suite and other senior leaders on corporate communications issues and opportunities, with a track record of positive results.
  • A flexible approach to communications strategy and tactics, with a keen eye for the evolving trends in today’s media landscape–and how they can be harnessed by
  • Strong relationships with key business and technology editors, influencers, allies and industry bodies in the US and internationally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a hyper-growth environment and prioritize amid ambiguity.
