Content Writer/Content Specialist (EU candidates)

We’re looking for writers with native-like English to join our content team and help us attract more readers and subscribers than ever before to stxnext.com.
The mission of our team is to consistently ship exceptional content. It needs to catch the attention of our target buyers and ultimately lead to qualified opportunities in the pipeline for our Sales team.
You’re a good fit for us if you have writing experience, are passionate about creating content that grabs people’s attention and doesn’t let go, and you’re willing to immerse yourself in the exciting, fast-growing IT industry.
The words you write will gradually find their way into almost everything we put out there: from blog posts through ebooks, pillar pages, email campaigns, website copy, and much more.
We’re hiring writers on two different levels:
Content Writer: passionate wordsmiths with previous experience in writing on a deadline, but little or no experience with content marketing specifically;
Content Specialist: professional marketers with existing content marketing experience who can take ownership of content projects end-to-end.

SALARY

Junior:
Junior+: 4500-6000 net B2B + VAT or 3700-5000 gross (UoP)
Regular:
Regular: 6000-8000 net B2B + VAT or 5000-6600 gross (Uop)

What do we need from you?

What will you do:

  • Write the words for our blog, ebooks, lead magnets, pillar pages, and other assets.
  • Interview the experts at STX Next to create character-driven content based on their actual experience delivering software development projects.
  • Regularly ship helpful content that tech executives will be glad to find via Google and in their inboxes, helping us gain subscribers and followers.
  • Analyze the impact of your content by reporting on traffic, conversions, average time on page, etc.
  • Provide feedback to internal writers on a peer review basis.
  • Consult your ideas and draw inspiration from our SEO Specialist and our social media team.
  • (Specialist level) Contribute ideas on how to produce more content while keeping a high level of quality and impact.
  • (Specialist level) Provide feedback to external writers, e.g. freelancers delivering work for us.

Must have:

  • An exceptional command of the English language. All of our materials are produced in English and we take great pride in our natural, approachable style.
  • Impressive writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business for various types of content. You will be expected to present a sample of your work and/or complete a writing task as part of the recruitment.
  • (Specialist level) At least 2 years of experience in a marketing/content role—or a very good reason why we might disregard this requirement.
  • (Specialist level) A track record of producing high quality, SEO-optimized marketing content that keeps audiences engaged.
  • (Specialist level) An understanding of content marketing principles and newest trends.

Nice to have:

  • An understanding of on-site and off-site SEO optimization.
  • Previous experience creating content specifically for ABM campaigns.
  • Experience with email marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and data analysis tools such as Hubspot, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs.
  • Experience with ClickUp, our preferred project management tool.
  • Experience working in the IT industry and/or programming experience.
  • (Specialist level) Experience working with freelancers and/or vendors: creating briefs, negotiating rates, overseeing timely project completion, etc.
