Communications Intern

The most exciting part about working with our Communications team is that no two days are the same. Our job is to help Chainalysis proactively ensure external and internal audiences are continually informed about the exciting changes our company is undergoing and to help maintain a positive image.

We expect interns to participate in as many real-life Communications responsibilities as possible and absorb the information and context around you, volunteer to try new tasks, and receive feedback humbly and eagerly.

Internal Communications

  • Worked between departments to vet and edit internal communications requests
  • Provided recommendations on how to execute communications to be impactful and comprehensive
  • Helped to draft meeting decks and briefing materials for executives for internal all-hands meetings
  • Assisted in drafting and editing internal newsletters

External Communications and Social Media

  • Assisted in drafting, editing and recommending changes to internal newsletters
  • Built out, tweak and execute social media strategy
  • Assisted in editing, scheduling and developing social media copy and creative assets
  • Helped gather commentary and data from key spokespeople within the company for media outreach
  • Learned how to interact with/pitch journalists, staff interviews, and monitor for coverage 
  • Assisted with monitoring the media cycle for relevant news and actions happening in the crypto world
  • Assisted in drafting press releases and briefing sheets for interviews
  • Assisted in drafting/completing award submissions

DEI

  • Helped to plan and execute internal events as a means to foster collaboration and increase awareness of issues facing marginalised communities
  • Assisted in developing presentations and drafting communications
  • Helped to ideate collateral materials to disseminate messages in a more digestible manner
