Commodity Trading Business Consultants & Managers – Award Winning Boutique Management Consultancy

Award winning, boutique management consultancy of 700 consultants specialised in the energy trading, energy retail and financial services markets seeks 4 x bright, dynamic and ambitious ENERGY / COMMODITY TRADING CONSULTANTS, SENIOR CONSULTANTS AND MANAGERS to join their UK or German practices.

Based from anywhere in the UK or Germany, but ideally willing to spend 1-2 days per week working out of my client’s London Global HQ or Dusseldorf German HQ, you’ll be working on management consulting projects/programmes for leading utility, oil & gas and commodity trading house clients working across:

• Business and some IT change / transformation
• ETRM / CTRM system vendor selection and overseeing implementations/upgrades, so knowledge of Endur, Allegro, Aligne, RightAngle, EnTrader, Aspect CTRM etc is useful
• Assisting in introducing new emerging technologies to optimize business efficiency (including Blockchain)
• Assisting existing trading businesses set up new commodity trading desks and professionalise existing trading desks
• Assisting with regulation and compliance projects

My client is a European business, headquartered out of London but are now a global business especially with a growing presence in Geneva, Zurich, Dubai, Sydney, Singapore, New York City and Houston where they have offices (some very small and some 30+ consultants), so there are opportunities to work on global commodity trading projects as well as secondments to other global offices if this interests you. Your role will be European based though with 2-3 days on client-site and 2-3 days from home or the London/Dusseldorf office.

Ideally you will have gained some prior consulting experience working for another tier one (maybe Big 4 or blue sky strategy) consultancy but this isn’t essential as you can come straight from industry working for a commodity trading house or even an ETRM / CTRM software vendor in a business analyst, project manager or related project delivery orientated role. Previous energy trading / commodity trading expertise is essential though. You will be bright and articulate with strong academics including a Bachelor’s degree from a leading UK or global university and be looking to work with similar bright, dynamic, high calibre colleagues on world leading commodity trading clients and projects.

You’ll need to have a British or European passport or have a visa allowing you to live and work in the UK or Germany without any visa issues, as my client won’t sponsor visas.

Salary in UK: £45,000 – £95,000 basic + bonus + benefits

Salary in Germany: €60,000 – €110,000 basic + bonus + benefits
