Responsibilities

We are seeking a candidate to provide hands on legal support for various corporate processes and in particular our growing European financial services business. Tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Regulatory: supporting our development teams in ensuring that our products comply with applicable regulatory requirements;
  • Corporate: supporting corporate projects within the Opera group of companies;
  • Contracting: managing contract negotiations and related processes; and
  • Reporting: reporting and keeping the group’s General Counsel informed of the progress of the foregoing tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Currently licensed to practice law in an EU/EEA jurisdiction;
  • Fluent in English including legal terminology;
  • 5 or more years of legal experience in the e-commerce and/or crypto currency industry; and
  • Knowledge of and experience working with several of the following: European e-commerce, application of European consumer protection regulations to digital businesses, or blockchain technologies.

Experience working with financial services offerings or digital payments would also be advantageous and should be described.
