Business Services/ Accounts Senior

Accountancy Practice Specialists Taylor Rose Recruitment are working with a leading progressive firm who, due to continued growth are seeking a Business Services/ Accounts Senior to join their Exeter office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of year end statutory accounts, management accounts, review of VAT returns & bookkeeping and tax compliance for clients from an array of sectors. The role will be varied and also involve client meetings, training clients on accountancy software, dealing with queries, mentoring junior staff and liaising with HMRC.

The ideal individual will be ACA/ ACCA qualified (part qualified or AAT Qualified also considered) with significant experience gained in practice and a good working knowledge of FRS 102 reporting standards.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Corporation tax computations
Review of VAT returns & bookkeeping
Preparation of management accounts
Liaising with HMRC
Training clients on accountancy software
Reviewing the work of junior staff
Supporting Partners
Dealing with client queries
Assisting clients operating around blockchain technology

Requirements:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
AAT Qualified also considered
Good working knowledge of FRS102 reporting standards
Knowledge of Xero beneficial
Previous experience of working in practice is essential
