We are looking for a Business Development Director to drive growth in our manufacturing & utilities sector. Fujitsu are the only global digital transformation company and global manufacturer. In today’s unprecedented world of chaos and challenge, the Manufacturing & Utilities sector needs to help our customers pivot to new ways of working, investing in innovation to revolutionize their supply chains, becoming more data driven to improve customer experiences, based on actionable insight to create an adaptable organization. Critical to this success is the seamless and secure integration of data throughout their enterprises; connecting plant operations and business systems to transform business processes. You will be responsible for growing our business with our manufacturing and utility customers. This includes both net-new logos and expanding our business with existing customers. You will be responsible for developing and closing opportunities aligned to Fujitsu’s Work Life Shift (end-user productivity & transformation) and Adaptive Enterprise (application & multi-cloud services) offerings. In particular, you will also open doors to technologies such as industrial IoT, edge computing, OT security, RPA, cyber security, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Machine Vision, Blockchain, intelligent automation and digital twins.

You will foster strong and diverse relationships across our customer’s key stakeholders. This is not just IT but throughout the business, finance, HR and marketing. You will use Challenger Approach to take insight to our customers and create a powerful reason for change.

You will spend the most of your time with your defined set of customers; understanding their business challenge and goals, working with our preferred technology and industry partners and growing our business by offering tailored solutions that help our customers achieve their goals. You will work in a consultative sales approach and will have and maintain a high-level of sector knowledge and experience. You will be supported by a team of dedicated industry Chief Technology Officers who will help support your sales campaigns and build long-term productive relationships with our chosen target market customers. You will also work closely with a team of sales specialists, consultants, digital advisors, lead deal architects, technologists, bid managers, service delivery and marketing teams to grow our business and delight our customers.

Your experience

  • Experience in engaging and building trusted relationships at CxO level and equally as successfully engaging with business stakeholders
  • Demonstrable success in acquiring new name customers in the manufacturing & utilities sector
  • An entrepreneurial and inquisitive mindset with the ability to cut through to the real business challenges to be solved.
  • Ambition and drive to achieve personal and professional goals.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference to our customers.
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and delighting customers
  • Great knowledge and insight of the manufacturing and utilities market
  • Familiar with Challenge Approach and an expert in consultative selling
