Our team, located in Amsterdam, is looking for self-driven, talented people who can help make digital assets available for everyone.

Job description & Responsibilities

You will be joining the Assets Management – Treasury team and contribute to the core eco-system of digital assets at Bitvavo, make it highly scaleable and efficient. This includes the full life cycle of crypto infrastructure, wallets, security, integrations and more.

You will setup and maintain servers and nodes for all types of Blockchains (both CeFi and DeFi). You will implement strategies to avoid congestion and reduce fees (transaction batching, segwit, bech32). Also, you will be involved in innovative and company-strategic projects. The responsibility is end-to-end: requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation and support.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5+ Years of development experience;
  • Experience in working with TypeScript/NodeJS (Rust/Go is a plus);
  • Experience working with blockchain technologies and tools;
  • Advanced knowledge of blockchain concepts like distributed ledger, consensus and smart contracts;
  • Knowledge about automated wallet creation (HD wallets), address formats and key sharding.
  • Experience with event-driven Microservices (Kafka);
  • Firm understanding of programming design patterns and principles, OOP and TDD;
  • You are a fast learner and a problem solver.

Nice To Haves

  • You are active in the planning and implementation of computer software for the cryptocurrency market.
  • Knowledge of algorithm complexity;
  • Experience in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
