BI Specialist & IT System Administrator

At GFT we have an open position for someone willing to work as a BI Specialist & IT System Administrator, for our Global IT team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person willing to start and grow in a multi-cultural, motivating and challenging environment. You’ll be part of our international projects working for global financial/insurance/industry clients and using cutting-edge technologies.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Contribute to finalize the ongoing Cloudification of on-prem services to Azure
• Internal Project Work and Change Requests to extend/develop our services
• Support and adjustment of business processes and technical processes
• Requirements analysis, solution research & development
• Service & system administration, maintenance, optimization and continuous improvement
• Global first / second level support for internal users
• Key user collaboration / provide training sessions
• Data migration, new releases, system copy
• Documentation / best practices knowledge base
• Conduct and support tests / UATs

Your profile:

• Education in Information Technologies
• You are a team player and enjoy working in a geographically and organizationally distributed and international setup
• Limited travel to some other GFT location might be required, but not more than 1-2x per year
• You are enthusiastic and enjoy working in a structured, responsible and creative way, with complex requirements / challenges
• You can deal with complex IT landscape structures
• You can abstract on provided information, identify patterns/structures to propose / apply solutions

Skills will help you to succeed:

At least 2 years of experience in… :

• Interpersonal skills, organizational skills and accountability for deliverables / ability to work autonomously but also closely with others as part of a team, at both being able to take full responsibility for a task
• Good English language skills (written and verbal communication)
• SQL Server administration, Data Warehouse, database development / modelling (normalization levels, snowflake schema), ELT / Integration
• T-SQL implementation; writing complex stored procedures processing sets of data (theory of sets) and mass data processing; performance optimization
• BI / Reporting, including ability to present contexts and data in an organized and approachable form
• Power BI, Power BI Workspaces / Excel PowerPivot

• Accessing web services API (REST, OData, …)
• Powershell scripting
