What does Bachelor@IBM offer you?

Within the scope of the 2-4 year Bachelor@IBM program, we offer valuable professional experience in the technical ecosystem team, which you will gain in parallel to your studies. You can complete the bachelor study course at a university (or university of applied sciences) of your choice. The duration of studies depends on the respective university and is between two and four years. The volume of work allows you to focus sufficiently on your bachelor’s degree. Nevertheless, you can expect challenging assignments in a team-oriented and dynamic environment as well as many opportunities for active co-determination. You can also write your bachelor’s thesis in collaboration with your department.

Who are we looking for?

For our in-job bachelor’s program, we are looking for a highly-motivated student who is planning to enroll or already enrolled in a bachelor study in Information Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics.

If you like to work in a team, work solution oriented and have good analytical skills and last but not least love to be challenged and learn something new every day then we are looking forward to receiving your application.

What can you expect from this position?

As Bachelor@IBM Partner Technical Sales you will be part of the of the technical sales organization and support our “Go To Market” model via the IBM Business Partner Ecosystem of IBM’s strategic software products. This means you will be able to work with new and emerging technologies with a focus on Data & AI, Hybrid Cloud Integration and IT & Business Automation solutions. You will work closely with IBM Business Partners as well as with IBM Sales & Tech Sales Teams to execute sales strategies for the Swiss market. This includes proactive support of the technical ecosystem team to activate existing and recruit new Business Partners. You’ll have the opportunity to prepare and run technical demonstrations of IBM software products to support IBM Business Partners and the IBM Technical Ecosystem team in client facing pre-sales situations.

We are looking for a bachelor student who is:

  • Eager to learn how to run a high-class software business in the Swiss market
  • Excited about new technologies (e.g. Container based application architectures, Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) and how they can provide value to clients
  • Interested to learn how to run technical demonstrations & workshops of IBM products to clients and business partners.
  • Curious to engage with Swiss business partners and clients in multiple industries
  • Technical savvy with modern technologies and computers
  • Basic understanding about today’s IT industry, standards and business challenges
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Fluent in German & English; French is an advantage

This job is only for candidates who are planning to enroll or have recently started their Bachelor’s degree and have at least 2 years of study remaining (at a Swiss university/university of applied sciences, study course of your choice).
