Brussels: Associate Project Manager – Research Department/Horizon Projects

White is a fast-developing research and consulting company based in Brussels and with a satellite office in Greece. White Research, our research unit, works at the frontiers of international research and innovation and collaborates with world-class academic and industrial organisations, on large collaborative research projects (Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe) in fields ranging from technology, energy, mobility, and sustainability, to innovation and social studies. Our growing project portfolio entails work on diverse topics such as circular economy, bioeconomy, transport, renewable energy technologies, blockchain, security, migration and regional development.

We are currently looking for an Associate Project Manager to join our growing Research / Horizon Europe department in office in Brussels which specialises in the design, implementation and management of international R&D&I projects.

Your responsibilities

As an Associate Project Manager, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

  • The daily implementation of H2020 and Horizon Europe projects.
  • Participation in the development of new projectproposals under Horizon Europe.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative information as well as in the elaboration of deliverables and scientific reports.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of primary and secondary market research studies.
  • Contribution to the delivery of policy, strategy, and stakeholder engagement/networking services.

What we look for:

The selected candidate should have:

  • A BSc/MSc degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Business, Social Sciences or Communications. English-written dissertation would be a plus.

We are interested in profiles with the following merits:

  • Strong academic performance (e.g. we are looking for top-in-class graduates; please indicate your grades in percentile, if possible).
  • Language skills – Our working language is English. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is a must. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Multi-tasking abilities and a consultant mindset (e.g. being able to work across different tasks and domains, with demanding deadlines, proactive attitude, and eagerness to learn).
  • International outlook and ambition (e.g. experience abroad, experience with multi-national teams and openness towards travelling abroad).
  • Communication and social skills (e.g. competence in expressing complex ideas in writing, networking skills, communication and presentation skills, ability to work in diverse teams).
  • GMAT/GRE test scores, if available, will be taken into strong consideration.
  • Experience in implementing projects and/or in the development of research proposals will be considered an asset.
  • 0-2 years of work experience.
