Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Business Sales & Delivery Executive, you will support IBM’s consistent growth by bringing to the table your business development, sales, account management, and delivery skills. Your Role and Responsibilities :

  • Supports both the development of new business opportunities and the delivery of Data Platform Services to clients.
  • Develops strategy for assigned accounts & participates in the development of overall strategy.
  • Responsible for overall performance for assigned Data Platform accounts and for servicing and selling Data Platform Services solutions in other accounts/Industries/Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth by identifying and building a strong pipeline;
  • Develop the most attractive opportunities for potential engagement, with focus on shaping complex, multi-tower deals
  • Lead the ongoing qualification of these opportunities and recommend whether to engage or disqualify
  • Post qualification: continue to drive client discussions, own the proposed solution and support the Deal Maker & Speciality Seller with negotiations to closure
  • Build close relationships with CxO-level parties within the target new logo accounts bringing a personal value proposition
  • If the initial deal is small/project based, keep an open line of communication with the delivery team on the ground to find an opening for a larger deal
  • Be able to distribute required attention across the portfolio, regardless of current deal flow
  • Conceptualise and execute a strong win strategy to convert new clients/deals and grow the account portfolio
  • Maintain a current PoV on relevant verticals and offerings by effectively utilising industry and IBM resources
  • Invest in new routes to market with third-party partners (advisors, lead generators, hyperscalers, SIs, ISVs, etc.) to drive incremental pipeline

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Possess knowledge for the required Data domains of: Big Data, Analytics, Data Warehouse and/or Data Science Practice

  • Minimum (5) year experience in presales, or equivalent role
  • 10+ years of experience in data domain: big data, data warehouse, data lake, analytics/reporting development
  • Solid knowledge of data integration, data model, modern database query languages, IICS, and AWS/Azure/Snowflake cloud technologies•Customer centric and solutions-oriented attitude with demonstrable experience in providing solutions based on business user’s needs
  • Ability to work concurrently across multiple priorities in an outcome-oriented and dynamic work environment with quality and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with evident relationship building
  • A strong data quality mindset with great attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking, yet flexible and pragmatic in considering unconventional approaches to solve a problem
  • Good time-management and work organization skills
