The newly established Digital Assets team is responsible for defining LSEG’s Digital Assets strategy, identifying cross-divisional synergies, and executing the vision. In addition, they identify and assess opportunities to accelerate LSEG’s presence, including partnerships, and M&A. The team also facilitates and supports the operational cadence of Digital Assets at LSEG, as well as the development and assessment of commercial opportunities through to business case approval and funding.
The team engages with customers and the broader Digital Assets ecosystem to ensure that strategies are customer-centric and focused on solving client problems. The team collaborates closely with Marketing & Communications (including Government Relations and Regulatory Strategy) to inform the development of external messaging and advocacy work with regulators, associations, and the market.
As the Digital Assets strategy develops, the team will help upskill colleagues, organising learning series and providing subject matter expertise to supporting functions looking to develop their understanding of Digital Assets and its foundational building blocks.
The role will report to Senior Manager, Digital Assets and will support in the development of the strategy and operations of the Digital Assets team, as well as the ongoing tracking of performance against Digital Assets objectives and supporting initiatives.
The role will also work closely with Capital Markets, Post-Trade, and Data & Analytics business leadership, relevant functions, including Marketing and Comms, Talent, Finance, Legal and Regulation, Group Strategy and Group M&A.
Enter the key responsibilities of the role:
Support with articulation of LSEG’s Digital Assets strategy within the Group, with senior leadership, and externally
Review and refresh LSEG’s Digital Assets strategy as appropriate based on changing market, customer, and competitive dynamics
Partner with the Division’s business leaders and customers to define market opportunities, business strategies, and specific strategic initiatives in support of ExCo’s strategic objectives in Digital Assets
Canvas the market for partnership and/ or investment opportunities in Digital; support with the management of the Digital inorganic growth pipeline, including search and selection, in collaboration with business leadership, Group M&A and Group Strategy to support the execution of the Digital strategy
Maintain close working relationships with Digital Assets SteerCo, Working Group, and business leaders on an ongoing basis to assess the delivery and effectiveness of existing Digital Assets initiatives and develop new initiatives and approaches where necessary
Provide Digital Assets subject matter expertise and insights to ExCo, SteerCo, & Working Group
Depending on experience and skills, potential to own projects end-to-end

Passion for Digital Assets, Cryptocurrencies, DLT
Ability to think critically and creatively, delivering high quality analysis with strong strategic and commercial understanding
Ability to develop commercial strategies in collaboration with businesses and other key stakeholders in a dynamic, multinational environment
Excellent written, verbal interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all organisational levels, including senior leadership
Excellent at building and managing relationships with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to influence at all organisational levels across divisions and functions
Excellent documentation skills and the ability to create high quality materials to facilitate decision making at the business leadership level
Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred but not essential
