Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team that delivers healthcare analytics and consulting services to large U.S. based employer and health plan clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Runs and analyzes data using IBM Watson Health’s proprietary database to support client needs using basic skills in statistics and database management.
  • Completes quality assignments on time and manages sub-tasks within budget.
  • Produces standard report packages on an ongoing basis to support client needs.
  • Displays basic understanding of healthcare and claims data
  • Handles basic user questions independently (e.g., requests for ad hoc reporting assistance) as well as communicate with the U.S. team and client end users.
  • Conducts thorough self-review of all work.
  • Your Work pattern will be based on US time zone & you may be expected to work local Public Holidays depending on the prevailing work pattern. It will be a condition of your employment that you may be required by IBM to vary your work pattern. You will be given at least one month’s notice of a pattern change or removal from, based on business requirements. In your case, you will work Monday to Friday 13:00 -21:30. There may be special situations based on client request where your work hours may need to flex for a specific day and time.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Applied Mathematics), or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2-3 years experience in the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrates effective time management; manages multiple tasks simultaneously, while completing work within allocated time.
  • Takes initiative as an individual and as part of a team and demonstrates problem solving ability.
  • Applies intermediate PC skills; experienced in Microsoft Office applications Excel and Word.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to use a programming language to query big data, preferably COGNOS or SQL

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Has experience and knowledge of U.S. healthcare system
